I wholeheartedly agree - I thought Springer first time I saw her but read about what combination she was supposed to be and thought Okay? I too showed dogs and also worked for a dog handler. Saw many of the famous Salilyn (sure I spelled that wrong) Best in Show Springers.

I was 92lbs. in my 20's and just about 5 ft. tall. I didn't gain weight till I lost my best buddy (Cocker) and then went on an eating binge during my depression and shot up to 108.

After I had my son at 38, I realized I really liked to eat

- then I was lead astray by Edy's ice cream and the rest was history. I don't mention my weight Period. Just don't ask, I won't tell.

I got on the scale yesterday and I'm sure my scream of dismay could be heard clear into town.

You get over 55 and it just adds up so quickly. I was another one of these lucky gals who was 98 pounds when I entered high school. Now if I could keep things at 125 I would be thrilled. Bad back, bad knee, DH and I used to do endurance cycling. Not anymore. He used to do 24 hour races. I used to ride centuries with him. Of course he rode them a lot faster than I did. LOL.

As for horses the first thing I learned about mine is that if they want you off their backs, you're out of there.

That's what that noise was.

I quit smoking and gained 50 lbs.

Then I got divorced.

Now I don't want to talk about it.

Turkey is still broody.

I have a Buff O hen that is sitting on the nest for 3-4 hours every day. I know it's just a matter of time.......

I think she is. Most of my girls are molting right now so I'm only getting eggs from 4 'younger' hens. Today she was on the nest for 3 hours. Long after she had finished up her business. When I pulled out an egg she immediately growled at me and stuffed it back under her.If she is contemplating broodiness I rather she did it now then wait till December like one of my hens did last year.

Mine's been on them a week and she is MEAN. She will come after you (darn those turkeys and their long necks) even if you are just near her box.
