The Old Folks Home

AKC lost allot of it's go in the 75 to early 2000 or so then seemed to get back some steam
allot of that the officers and members...

been making cookies old time sugar
and then peanut butter ones my BF's personal favorites................................

It is 56 degrees here.

Shorts weather.

I am pretty sure it is less than a week to Thanksgiving.

I'm not complaining, because otherwise it should be snowing... but it sure is odd.
Enjoy it. We set a new record high of 56o yesterday, early. Then the front moved in, a short thunderstorm midday, then the wind began to howl. Today we woke up to everything with a new coat of white, the current temp is 22 with the windchill mostly in the low teens. The wind is still howling but our power is still on. Other folks not as lucky. One gust of high wind did blow over our new windmill tho. I had chained the fan down so I thought we were good, oh well.
Just thought you would like to know what's heading your way, like I said, enjoy.

Mid 60s here today on our first day of rifle deer season. Was in a sweat shirt and thin longsleeve camo shirt, no coat, awesome. Tomorrow afternoon supposed to drop to 30, 45mph wind and 6-12"s
:-(

Yup looks like we're going to get the cold front come through tomorrow, too, and hopefully some rain with it.

I got the goats and ducks cleaned out today in anticipation of tomorrow being nasty weather. The ducks tarp that covers their (very crappy) house no longer held out water, wind or snow. I replaced it today with a newer(ish) tarp and came face to face with a giant rat. I ran to grab the shovel to bludgeon it to death, and when I got back I saw its butt go down its hole. I set the traps out.

Almost got my quiet book done. Got the individual pages attached to a pretty blank page (so you can't see all the stitches and ties on the back) and then installed grommets on each page. That was not fun. I hope to make the covers tomorrow if I can figure out how I want it to close.

Beer can try calling a local nursery and ask them what you should do. They are very helpful here. I call now and then. :)

Scg it was in the mid 80's yesterday and today it was 67* and tonight it will be freezing.

We worked all day trying to get all the plants and critters winterized. Then the RV and truck.
I will be going to bed soon with a muscle relaxer, hurting everywhere.
