BRAG BRAG BRAG! Our summer is like that. I think it occurs on the first Thursday after the 4th of July and sometimes even lasts until the following Sunday!

Here, too.

ewwww! think I'll keep our four seasons;
mud , bug, bad sledding and hybernation.

You forgot Tourist Season.

I still have a couple feet of snow.

Thank you. I was beginning to feel lonely in my white wonderland.

We have spring. If you consider temps in the 50s and mud up to your ankles spring, then we got it!

I've been out trying to put up a new PVC feeder that I made and I keep hearing these little squishy sounds behind me. I turn around and it's my two 6 month old OEGB cockerels running back and forth int he mud making these silly sounds as they pull their little feet out of the mud that's up to their ankles.

We aren't seeing any real early budding in the trees except for the peach, apple and pear trees in the orchard and they are in early bloom. The grass is greening up and the daffodils are getting ready to bloom.

We really didn't have a wet winter at all so the rain is welcomed here. I just wish the sun would come out and give things a chance to dry out a bit before the next wave of rain comes in.

Your poor little cockerels were likely worried they would sink in the mud if they stood still. lol Poor babies!
What design did you use for your feeder?
I tried to do one for our rabbits like the chickens except we cut our the top section of the pipe with a cap on it. And for what ever reason the feed does not flow smoothly as we had hoped it would.

Spring will all of a sudden pop out for y'all.

Scg I hope you get some nice weather to melt all your snow also.

Alaskan you probably have better weather than most of us do. The axis shifting several years ago has sure made some changes for all of us.

We have so much standing water and mud that I don't even want to go outside! But our dryer went out and I have been putting on my mud boots to hang them on a clothes line!
So I feel for ya!

My feeder is like this one I borrowed off the inernet only I have constructed a weather cover out of Korplast for it as it is outside.

Mine is 4 inch to three inch ID. I'm tired of scraping up a bucket full of feed for every two I put out. If this one pans out I'm going to make one for the bantam pen

Those two bantam boys are a hoot. They are 6 month old walking hormones who have set their sights on my Welsummer hens who could care less. They have all the fines of Barney Fife in the back seat with Thelma Lou and the hens are quick to remind them of that every chance they get.

I know it's terrible here also. Our 18" trailer is sunk nearly to the axles in the pasture. Don't get me started! lol
We do worry about the cows sinking in the mud we have lost a couple that way. Dh tried to pull them out with his truck and still she did not make it.
Hopefully we will get a dryer soon. Dh has a friend at work that has a spare he said we could get. Just waiting for him to get his mother settled in. He moved
her and her mother in with them after adding 2 room additions on to the house. So....

Microchick that's a great feeder for chickens but I think it's to large for the inside of their cages.

I don't know if you can see how saturated the ground is but I can't wear my flip flops. lol

We still have cleaning up to do. But can you see all the rain lilies growing wild all across this pasture. I love them!

Green trees! I long to see green trees after months and months of dull grey and brown everywhere.

Chicka my feeder holds about a quarter sack of feed and I have it mounted outside the coop in the run for summer. I really dislike having feeders in the coop over the winter but don't have much choice. Once the weather starts to turn out they go.
