The Old Folks Home

Thanks getaclue, chicki and wickedc.
getaclue I store my seeds in envelopes in my fridg. I have had good luck with seeds for up
to 7 years. I also collect my seeds each year from my vegies.

I'm so sorry chicki and wickedc that it's not warm enough for you to plant yet.
Your season will come. :D
If it would just stay too cold...I wouldn't feel the need to plant.:wee
I'd be ok with that. :old

Right now my back's saying "NO green thumb!" laughing.gif I had plans of grandeur for our place in my 20s. I made my flower beds with a 6' cultivator. I wanted to have roses and have enough fresh flowers our kids could have fresh flowers for their weddings.:lau
Um, yeah. WTH was I thinking. wtf.gif

We got land movers in to fix the water issue we were having with out garage and I we planted some of the change down to grass, thankfully. I couldn't have many plants at my Grandparents...so I went a bit overboard after we got married. I got to 206 indoor plants...lol. crazy.gif Took me 1/2 hour to water! Now I have 3 fake ferns. smilewink.gif

She did not hatch a chick.

I found some guy on Craigslist with day old sex links that was only about 20 minutes out of my way on my way home today.

So she did not attack it? Wow! I hope it breaks her broodiness for your sake!
Your way ahead of me. My BR hens would not even take the turkey poult's I bought them.

I'm not sure if she'll take it or not. When I first put them in the red slipped right under her and the black got pecked a bit, almost to the point of me intervening (and probably losing an eye), but the black slipped under her and then she cooed. It's been about 2 hours, just went back out. I don't hear peeping, but I don't see dead bodies/blood anywhere. I offered her a tray of wet food in her nest, but she refused, and the chicks (if they're alive) didn't come out.
