The Old Folks Home

I am so upset about her dieing I am crying I miss them taking care of them and Everytime I love the dove it takes the pain away but I can't keep her she's a wild animal but I don't know what to do to sooth the pain it hurts so much

I'm sorry, and I know it hurts. You have to keep reminding yourself that you were only able to care for them, because things went wrong for them, and they would have surely died anyway. Sometimes, when the babies have been too long without the care of their mother, they simply can not fully recover from it. You did all you could, and at least they died warm, fed, and being cared for.

I believe we also both like the harder music. Although I've mellowed a bit with age and my playlist features more Marley and Pink, there's still Saliva, Disturbed and such. And I still think that Dave Mustaine is beautiful.
Saliva and Disturbed...:yesss:
Me too, but not at $600.00 per person.
I thought $110 for Bon Jovi was bad enough. o_O
I have only recently become addicted to heavy metal.... Tool, Mettallica, Sound Garden...
Not real good at remembering bands but love most of it.

I listen to most everything...but heavy metal, specifically nu metal I guess it's called, like Saint Ansonia. :love I've missed Disturbed the last two times they've been touring and they had Saint Ansonia opening for them! :he:he:he Halestorm...awesome band not usually on the radar. They performed in Minot, ND...couldn't make it. :barnie

Not heavy at all but so incredibly fun and amazing...I just looked up a song two days ago on YouTube by Walk Off the Earth. I was blown away. So incredibly fun, talented and cool with what they do. They have their own music and I guess they do covers too...like this one.

Runt..Chin up! Tending wild babies is hard on the heart. We fall in love and when they don't make it we beat ourselves up and wrack our brains trying to figure out what we did wrong or could've done better.
You did great! Did everything right. They stress, or their sick, oh so many reasons beyond our knowing that they don't make it.
Dry your face, take care of the dove, and know you've done a great thing.
I've done birds, skunks, coons (sorry guys lol), squirrel, opossum. And all didn't survive. Count the ones who do as a blessing and the ones who don't you learn from and move on. ;)
And it's ok to grieve, it's part of it. :)

Morning everyone...
Mawmaw, hope wrist is better this morning, don't do that again, lol.

Wicked, your setups, well, wickid cool! I like.:)
And it's raining, again . Makes my bones ache. Won't be going to town today, normally today's grocery day. But I ain't going nowhere!:)
Thanks you. I've seen what some of the setups you guys have. Mine doesn't quite hold a candle...lol. It works for the moment...sort of. laughing.gif

Wrist is much better. I'm just glad we got her in the barn before this storm hit. I just moved the youngest chicks out of their little run. They sleep in a cat carrier and rain always gets in it so now they and the carrier are on the porch. I also noticed that something tried to dig its way into their area last night. Probably the same animal that tore the trash up all over the yard. Sigh.
