Finally getting around to looking at and ordering graduation photos.

The house project continues on. We are expecting rain here tomorrow night so we are hurrying to get about two thirds of the insulation in so we can get house wrap over it before the storms hit.

I am such a lucky woman. My multi-talented husband has spent the last two days adding wiring to the wall we are working on. I now have two new outlets in the kitchen and there are new exterior outlets and new motion detector lights going up. We spent the afternoon hanging the insulation. Got about half of our 'goal' done so we will tackle that in the morning and get it finished up.

Tonight I went out to lock up the birds and came up three chicks and one hen short. It was almost dark so I ran back in, grabbed a flashlight, employed DH's help and headed back out. By the time he'd made it out to help me search, I had found them. The little family had decided to sleep up in the upper coop (it's a bi-level) Momma Speckles had kicked all the eggs out of the nest and was hunkered down with her chicks. I was pretty impressed with those 3 week old babies flying up 4 feet with their momma. We got everybody back where they belonged and called it a night.

Penny, keeping my fingers crossed on those eggs.

Alaskan, that boy LOOKS like an Alaskan. What a handsome young man. You must be very proud of him.

A good crispy 40o F morning to all View media item 7892551That should shut the tomatoes down for a day or two, darn. Just being lazy until it warms up enough to let the littles out of the coop. They just turned 5 weeks and not quite fully feathered yet so a very wet, 40o grassy run is a bit too much for my spoiled babies so they are suffering in their brand new large fully equipped brooder and being forced to eat the most expensive chick starter Nutrena makes and hunt in the fresh hay for their mealworms treat to keep them busy till it warms up a bit more. Poor little birds.

Please send the crispy here too. Preferably through the day...lol.
40 F woul make me very happy.

today was lock down took the turner out and they are on their their own brought humidity up from 45 to 60 for hatch hova bator 2366? good unit left them sit on counter as shipped eggs did not turn the turner on for 1 1/2 days all air sacks looked great guess we will see

I'm also curious if low will make a difference as opposed to no heat.
