They're in Cleveland, Tx. The water is finally starting to recede, but the wheelbarrow, sadly, is nowhere to be found. They are on Horseshoe Lake.

3 day weekend, anyone?

Plans?

I had no idea it was a holiday. I'm taking the kids back downtown Sunday night for the very last "concert on the bay" this summer. Since its the final show of the season there will be fireworks. I'm pretty excited because the kids have never see them up close & personal before.

finish a pendant, go visit my horse, cook some steaks and potatoes... and OKRA... okra is a Big hit here.... hopefully mom will come over...
My newest pendant is a stone I have been wanting to work with for a very long time... kind of stuck on the bale... but I found a pattern I like so will see if that works.

Now they photograph these stones under optimal light.... it is more subdued than this but definately the same stone. Laboradorite.... each one is so unique its like having a fingerprint. working in copper of course...

Glad to hear the water is receding! We have a grandson that was going to get married soon, he's in the National Guard, and just got deployed to go to Texas and help. Wedding on hold for now. Good to hear of the neighbors helping neighbors stories. Now to hear that the NG is out helping, and we have a Grandson out to help is nice. He's all good with it. So is his .. soon.. to be. wife. The people need help!

Saturday: coop cleaning, general yard clean-up, mowing, wine
Sunday: church, lunch out with DH, housework, wine
Monday: wine, White Sox v. Cleveland Indians game with DH and DS
Yeah, they stink and having wine before going makes them easier to watch
