@Alaskan what kind of water pipes do you have?
Copper and pvc plastic the rest should be OK.
I forget what it's called but there was flexible plastic water piping used in '70s-'80s that was not glued together, used compression fittings, that stuff no good, actually was recalled.
Today's flexible piping with easy connect sharkbite fittings is what almost everyone is using now, must be good stuff. I'll stick to copper.

We had a copper pipe in our bathroom when we first moved here that was just lightly misting inside the wall, from a pinched over soldered T (idiots!)
Caught it when we noticed all four walls were warping and wet. Paneling over sheetrock, and linoleum on the floor hid the evidence. The floor was warped when we moved here but I thought it was damage from the tub not being sealed/caulked good.
Ripped up the linoleum and the fiberboard floor was like a sponge, took it up with a shovel Lol! Whole room was a complete gut job.
 
Spent yesterday 'volunteered'... helping FIL install and convert a big convection oven from NG to LP in their bakery. They decided to retire the wood fired brick oven, just don't bake enough anymore to justify feeding it wood 24/7.
I think the old fart (79) should just retire himself. But then he'd be bored, not good either. At least this gas oven will make it easier for them, he still cuts and splits most the wood himself.

Weddings at home and simple weddings are by far the nicest weddings. Any I've been to have been the most enjoyable by far. :)
 
My husband and I went down to an old plantation that is across from the school he teaches at, the house is wrecked, not really salvageable, but we found the family graveyard. The graves were all dating back to the civil war and some of the carvings were beautiful. There are 8 bodies there, 6 with headstones, 2 with fieldstone, 2 of the ones with headstones were babies less than a year old. One headstone is broken and we couldn't read it, all of the others are either fallen or leaning really bad.

We looked up records, there are supposed to be 2 graveyards there, and the man who's kids are in the cemetery owned 30+ slaves, so we think maybe the other one is the slave cemetery. We would like to find that one as well if possible but don't know where to look or anything.

And when one looks back...you wonder why? It is "their" day after all.
If we could only see that "before" the wedding...lol. I mean, we're surrounded by family and friends who have probably seen our worst, yet they are still sharing this most important of days with us...lol.
