The Old Folks Home

I have been saying the same ditto for days on the hurricane advice thread we all live safe only earthquakes or volcanoes could take us out
Yes, Where I live, earthquakes, Floods and fires are possible problems. It was close last winter with the Oroville Dam problems. That is not too far from where I live

we have the damn made by Tacoma power at riffe and mayfield lakes but would not affect where we are there was a town that was destroyed when they built the damn years ago the name escapes me now but they are several hills and valleys between Mossyrock and the damn ... if all 4 mountains went off at once we might be impacted but not sure then either

Quiet morning everyone,
Heard from both granddaughters this morning. (One Orlando, one east of Naples). Both are fine. Orlando GD still has power, Naples GD not so much. Power gone, cell very spotty. They are worried about their zoo and no idea if her house is ok, no word yet. However, the storm surge was not as bad as expected tho there is supposed to be a lot of flooding. GD in Orlando's apt. is ok but they put up flood warnings. She's still ok unless water gets really high. Praying that all my BYC friends in Fl are doing ok. I know a few coops were lost but everyone seems to have secured their birds.

Getting close to time so I need to get off now, NEVER FORGET :(
