The Old Folks Home

Wicked thanks for the idea of covered cattle panels. Will talk to dh about it.

Cap for ibs my sister and I both had some problems with this. We both started cutting out as much soy in our diet as we could and went back to using real butter and coconut oil. Our problems cleared up

For drain flies they sell some type of live bacteria on Amazon the eats the stuff in the drains and the larve of the flies. It gets rid of them permanately.
Other wise they are never really gone.

I always use butter and don't recall buying soy but sometimes it is probably hidden in the ingredients list. I will look for it. Thanks. And for fly killer. Little nasties.

I have a very hard time trying to open bottles and jars. I looked on ebay for a vintage jar opener like one my mom had. It worked great, and I found one.
It had some rust on it but I got a good price so I got it and soaked it over night in some vinegar. This morning it looked a lot better but still had some rust on it. So I added some baking soda and let it soak a couple more hours. I was liking it so much better.
But it still had a couple little dots on it. So I did a bit of fine sanding on it.
Here is a before and after pic.

One of the joys (?) of getting older is you become acutely aware of your foibles, maladies and infirmaries, those you've dealt with for a while and those foisted upon you. Consider them as badges of survival.

I'm sure if we set up a grid of what we all have had we could play a fine game of Bingo!

Morning everyone and welcome to the thread @Parront! Glad you could pull up a rocker and join us all.

Funny that you brought up IBS. I have it and had a flare last night. Truly miserable. I wish I could figure out what the trigger foods are so I could avoid them. Last night I think it was icecream with chocolate syrup. But I ate it just a few days earlier and nada. BUT it was a different brand so maybe that was it.

Told DH I guess it was time to do an elimination diet. It's a hard way to get a flatter tummy:tongueo_O
