I drink almost all water since i gave up my soda habit. When it is cold i drink hot tea, and if i am hot i drink green tea cold.
All of the bread looks really good!
I drink mostly water and coffee. I have a glass of milk a day usually. Either organic or A2

Cap, your coop is really taking shape. What are you planning to cover the cattle panels with.

BTW cattle/hog panels are one of those things that once you have them around, you always want them around.

@ronott1, question concerning your sourdough. I have a starter the refrigerator right now that got neglected while we were in the midst of retiring. It smells REALLY strong right now, almost alcohol strong. Can I save it? How? or should I just dump it and start over?

I had a start a couple of decades ago that came from a starter that was over a hundred years old. It made the most marvelous bread. No yeast needed. I lot it in another move and I'm finding that starters I start myself all need yeast with it to make it rise. Any suggestions?

You can save the sourdough but it will take some time to get up to raising bread without yeast.

My sourdough is from Oregon sourdough and is in the 300 year old range.

I send out starts for free--Send me a pm with your address and I will mail you a start

SQUEEEEEEEEL!

PM Sent. Thanks Ron!

Oh, almost forgot....Unless the starter is pink it will be fine!

Pour off the alcohol that is on top. Stir and then save 1\2 cup in a bowl. toss the rest of the starter and them put the saved starter back in the jar along with 1 cup of flour and 2\3 cups of water. Put a towel over the starter and leave out 8 hours or over night. Next morning, repeat but this time you can make pancakes from the starter. Crumpets are good to make too.

Repeat for several days until the starter is a nice white color and bubbles quickly when fed.

Ideally you will want to either use the starter weekly or replenish it once a week. It can take up to a year for a scratch starter to raise bread without yeast.

(get a start from me!)

Best for storing starter in the fridge:(not with the paper towel--that is to keep fruit flies out while replenishing)

We use cattle panels cut to size for gates when we build fences for the goats. Also used them to cover windows in the barn.
The coop will have clear wavy type panels on top, then i use welded wire over the lower parts and cover with tarps . I have camo colored tarps i will be using for this coop. I am liking it so much i may put the chickens in there. The guineas finally went in their run by themselves today!

The last time I looked, it wasn't pink. More like a ghastly grey color:sick. I'll get it out tomorrow and go to work on it. Thanks for the info.

I definitely would like a start of your starter. Winter = bread making season for me.
will do! I replied to your PM

Offer of sourdough is open to all

Picked my friend up from the airport. She brought a quilt to piece and then work on quilting. She's working on piecing it, still, should be done tomorrow. I hope. She's touched by adult ADD and I love her dearly but it's kinda like being in a room with a squirrel on amphetamines.

However, I am making a dent in my Xmas presents...

Finished the last 2 sets of pillowcases for my sister and her 4 kids, then finished the last 2 scrub caps for a surgeon I know (I mailed him the first I made earlier this week and luckily it fit his giant head so I was able to continue with my mission and not alter the pattern).
