The Old Folks Home

Ended up participating in wood processing party, wasn't that bad. Ended up Saturday having a guy from work fixing my bow, found out he is really in to bows and had a really nice $$ bow press, fixed the serving on my string knew how to wind and tie the right way and got the sting back on the cams (had a mishap second day of season and was really bummed out, new string is $40 + pressing and labor) he did it for free, ended up BS'ng with him for hours so didn't make it up to in-laws for duck out of cutting wood early.
Everybody worked hard, really happy with oldest DD's BF, future SIL maybe? He didn't get there as early as I did but bulled through the pile with the same vigorousness, proud of him . We ate it up, gone, in about six hrs no break. Three wood splitters going and they didn't even come close to keeping up.
And I ducked out before dinner, about 4:30? in the woods, love it, the smell, love out in the woods smell, quiet, no noise but nature , red squirrels running around, just out in the woods relaxing, almost fell asleep. Waiting for a deer, loving just being out there, saw no deer but OK, had a good day.

My younger two girls would fight over that one. I really like the back side.

Thank you. Planning on giving it to my 11 year old niece hope she likes it.
Finished the binding last night and did get it washed and dry.

I got an ad from the local Ben Franklins on Saturday and thought of you SCG. They had some really nice Christmas and Thanksgiving quilting panels on sale. I especially liked one of the Thanksgiving panels along with the material that they had used to frame it in.

I need a winter project...errr another winter project LOL.

What little girl wouldn't love that quilt?

First wave of the junior varsity team (flock replacements) is in lockdown. There are two more batches after this one.

These are local eggs from a friend's flock. Got her interested in chickens and, via an inadvertent roo, she now has fertile eggs. So much more hardy than shipped eggs...not a single dud!
