We have Japanese Beetles, Stink bugs and now these red and black ones. The first ones killed my rose bush, the second ones just smell awful if you smush them. And there are just way too many of those last ones.

Actually, the lady bugs are very beneficial. They are predators and eat aphids, mites, white flies and many other soft bodied plant destroying insects. I'm happy to have them around. Just NOT happy about having to sweep up piles of their dead bodies...

Did i tell you i planted 6 high bush blueberry plants this evening? Husband got tired of waiting for me to cook Chicken Parmesan so he went ahead and Bbq the stuff. Had salad and baked potatoes. I was stuffed.
How many blue berry plants do you have or are these the first ones?

We had some in FL but they failed in the heat. We have blackberries, Paw paws, hickories, and black walnuts here. Just moved here this summer.
They do well here. Don't ask me why but it seems as though everyone has blueberry plants.
Guess I'm going to have to break down and plant some next spring.
