The Old Folks Home

my friend has some pretty severe OCD. As in he runs through a bunch of hand sanitizer. It was difficult for him.

over 210 houseplants. wow. At one point I think I had 6 orchids (when I ived in Texas). I thought that was plenty.
He and I would get along famously then. :p

No one ever accused me of doing anything in a normal way. :lau

UC Davis is running a chicken feed study to see if fly larvae can replace methionine in the feed without causing a fishy taste.

I would try to participate in the study but I am too Old! They want young taste buds for the study.

Am I correct in understanding there is also limits to how much methionine can be used by feed companies in the feed as well. I was reading about methionine the other day in an article from your side of the border. I do not know how it's used here.

That's an interesting concept! Something about the thought of fly larvae turns my stomach even though I understand what they're trying to replace.:lau

My sign before stain...

I got asked if I drink yesterday. :lau I like wine. Most wine I think. But I only have a glass or two on special occasions like Thanksgiving and such. So when the doctor asked me that I laughed out loud...lol!!!

I disappeared yesterday because I had an appointment with the walk in doctor who had called for new blood work when she refilled my prescriptions for the diabetic meds I take. Apparently she's concerned about a few things; she upped my db meds because I'm not quite under control (which I knew) and changed it to twice a day so I'd remember. And she called for another blood test for me yesterday because my liver enzymes are higher again than last time.

I wasn't sure the first time I saw her...but she must have studied back and saw I missed my physical last year (I thought I had) so I'm set to go back next week and get up-to date there. She questioned about the mammogram I had previously and what family had cancer. When she found out every woman in my close family has or has had cancer and that my mom died decades ago...it sounds like she's sending me in again!

I was impressed! It's not easy to impress me. She's whipping me into shape! :lau Maybe she will be my new doctor...since I don't have one. She also told me to get Vitamin B12 to help my memory. I told her I was going to buy a weekly pill dispenser to keep track...but what did I do? I forgot to buy it! :lau Taking B12 right away. :p

Buy 4 pill dispensers, then you only have to fill once a month! I used to get B12 injections but doctors don't want to prescribe it now. What?!

That's a good idea! I also have to do or have something dedicated for day travel. I'm terrible at forgetting meds at home when I'm gone.
I remembered yesterday. :yesss:

I like that!! :clap
I had a childhood friend who used to burn; leather and I think wood.

Scg...I sure hope you can smack some people and get your furnace working. :hugs

I'm so-not-good with having to need man to speak to man to get something done. I don't run into that very often. Last time was when I bought my car in 2011.

Had some hunters this fall who wouldn't take my word about what we'd decided. I wasn't impressed. But I think having the police show up asking questions and looking for bodies would cut into my free time. I don't have enough of that as it is. So I smiled and let it go and forwarded them to Dh. In which he told them the exact same thing.:he

But it freed up time in the future for me so that's a good thing. :p
