The Old Folks Home

But you'd be menacing...and everyone would fear you. ;) :bow

OH but what fun

Oh man, i can't tolerate Ultram! Makes the room spin and i write backwards! Not one i want to try again.

I know the drugs handed them out for years to dogs, cats and the like

Tylenol 3 does that to me plus I dream in colors Crayola hasn't invented yet.
does me also that is why I use tramadol

Ultram just makes the pain go away for me. Aspirin will take the edge off but I have to take 8-10 a day to get even a fraction of the relief the Ultram gives me. I finally had to cut back to 4 a day after I hemorrhaged from a laceration. I began to worry about what would happen if I fell hit my head and had an intracranial bleed.

I was on 10 aleve 10 asprin like 3 times a day may have to go back to my Dr. in McLeary he knew why I was on it

Penny I am so sorry they treated you that way.

It's the new laws and regulations. It's terrible for us that need pain meds.

I keep thinking the worse is these pain clinics that want to count each pill you have

Our governor is trying to introduce a bill so that doctors can only write a 3 day supply of pain meds. That's his idiotic answer to the war on opioids. That's suppose to fix everything. Vote for me.

like that is going to help anyone Tramadol is very loosely an opioid should not be but lets face it there are people out there that get addicted to anything

:clap...that's awesome!!

Ibuprofen is hard on your heart?? I thought it was hard on the stomach. :th

Tylenol could be the culprit if person's liver enzyme's are up?

I took this directly off the net.

Plus: It can chew up your stomach also. I can take it for about a day and a half along with Naproxen, get some joint pain relief but then it starts to work on my stomach. Enteric coated aspirin are the only NSAID I can take without GI problems.

As for a 3 day supply of pain killers? :lau:gig:lau

What they are doing is trying to control the RXs being written thinking that short term use for an injury is going to lead to long term abuse without taking into consideration the patient who is suffering from long term chronic pain who is taking RX prescription pain killers on a daily basis so they can function in every day life without pain wearing them down.

I had the pleasure of working with a pain specialist doctor for a couple of days when I was working for a temp agency. It was a real eye opener. The doctor was amazing and it was the one place I worked as a temp that if I had been living closer I would have been working there full time.

More people live with chronic pain than the average John Q public realizes and I'm sure that a large number of the law makers in America are completely oblivious to the percentage also.

Don't worry. I seriously doubt if it will fly in Florida.

Thank you! That's a very good read. :clap

My sensitivity to drugs is Actifed... It makes me hallucinate. Really.

I used to be a "dose me up" kind of 20-ish person. Nowadays a glass of white wine has me horizontal on the sofa "listening" to the TV and missing major parts of whatever is on. Somewhere along the line I turned in my badge and became a veritable pharmaceutical lightweight.

I came really close to picking up a few turkey poults last spring. I was in the Amish feed store and the owner had a sign on his desk advertising started poults that another Amish farmer had for sale for something like 7.50 apiece. I was sooooo tempted.

Next year I may give in to temptation....maybe......I'm thinking that the local bred as in our neighborhood poultry has to have some resistance to whatever crud is floating around.
