Yes, the Young Again cat food is pricey but we figure when we broke it down that it was pretty much averaging the monthly cost of insulin and supplies.
Going to no insulin would certainly pay for the food with the cost of insulin and supplies. I was paying ~$85 for a 45 day supply of insulin. I currently have no insulin expense since my neighbor throws his "only have 20 units left" pens away at my house. He does 70 units at a time, poor guy. But those test strips do not come cheap either!

The other question would be: How would I keep the other 3 cats out of the really expensive dry food in her dish? They all play musical dishes as if the EXACT same food in another's dish is SO much better than they got. She would have to like this stuff WAY better than what they are eating now to not go snag the other cats' dry food. She already makes sure they've not left any wet food.

Could you feed the other cats in one room and her in another? Pick up the food when they stop eating?

We feed Cash in a separate room, usually the bathroom. He comes to us and lets us know when he is hungry. He and his bowl go into the bathroom with the door closed and 10 minutes later somebody lets him out.

They really like this food and you can purchase a small bag of it from the company. They eat less as it is more filling. Down side is that they can get gas and loose stools until their bodies get used to it, same as other food changes.

I hear ya @penny1960. We will soon own stock in Chewy.com.

Our dogs were gaining too much weight. Vet told us to find low protein dog food that people think that the average dog needs far more protein than they really need resulting in overweight dogs.

We tried everything. Finally found Purina Come and Get It! 18 % protein and they like it. Plus Chewy delivers big ole 50 pound bags to our gate. Can't beat that!
