Penny, that is why I don't take a statin drug. My readings are borderline also but docs have told me that in my and my husband's cases, the side effects outweigh the benefits.

Have you tried the Red Rice Yeast supplement or Niacins? Even Artichoke extract is supposed to help cholesterol levels.

My huge array of of drugs is two I take levothyroxin, atenolol, now vitamin D, doxocyclene ? sp, to sleep sometime benedryl also sleep aid is also in unisom do not have the bottle with me have my tramadol and aspercream with lidocaine

So far they are using corded equipment. One guy said the boss wanted him to ask me for permission to hunt here!!! How the heck can he even think of hunting when he is so far behind??? Our neighbor got one a day before season started. Nice rack.

We will have to see but I have seen some articles about recent studies not supporting statins reducing death from heart disease.

One article claimed that an apple a day was just as good or better than statins.

Niacin was similar and did not do anything to help

Yeah, i think Lipitor caused my Aunt to develop diabetes. She took it for many years.

You sound like me. Only take one drug that is on the HAVE TO TAKE THIS list. The rest are mainly allergy and supplements with the exception of my pain medicine and muscle relaxers.

I just called my insurance company concerning me seeing a rheumatologist and how much I will have to pay OOP. Needless to say I didn't get very far, the news wasn't good, and will be better off if I wait till medicare kicks in next August. Anthem had the bad judgement to then send me a customer service survey about how likely I was to recommend them for insurance.

Hey guys! DON'T USE ANTHEM! NEVER EVER NEVER NOT IF THERE WAS ONLY ONE INSURANCE COMPANY LEFT IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY WERE IT! How's that for a recommendation?

I just did some research. My Medicare will kick in on my birthday, July 18 of next year. Only 8 months.

This is a problem that has been 40 years in developing and worsening. Guess I've taken better care of myself than I thought I was, LOL. I can do 8 months.

you know they forced me into medicare then said oh you need assisted living or at least a caregiver the one I have gave her two weeks notice I say no more told her I am contrary old lady do not want others in our home anymore
