Nice! I bought $70+ worth of stuff at Joann's today. All DD's fault!

None here. DH and I walked the east fence line of our property today and found a tree down over a section of barbwire. I think our big plan is to go back and saw it up and fix the fence so the stallion the neighbors are keeping in their pasture for an Amish neighbor doesn't decide to come over and visit.

Those pillowcases are adorable, @superchemicalgirl. Pink maned unicorns.....sigh.....I was that young once.....

@penny1960 I did roofing for my parents once. A cousin came over and showed me how to chalk out the roof. The weather was nice when I started the job but by the end of the week it was in the high 80s. I was tired and roasted when I noticed I had a guy standing at the curb watching me work. I finally said hi or something to him and he said. "You aren't doing that right, it's going to leak". I straightened up, near the peak of the roof and replied, "I'm exhausted, hot, sun burned, dehydrated and have a great aim (for emphasis I waved my hammer in the air) so unless you plan to climb up this ladder and shingle this roof for me, I suggest you move on!" I swear the guy turned white and double timed it up the street.

BTW. My roofing job was leakless. Even my cousin who did work as a roofer was impressed.

at least 15 years ago 6 of us did my folks roof oh my we had fun ... even 4 years ago when Ma sold the home after her husband died on the inspection they said the roof would be good another 15 years

@superchemicalgirl Completing Christmas decor tomorrow morning and some barn cleaning/rearranging to make a space for DH's car during crappy weather. Our city Christmas Walk is tomorrow evening, 4 to 8, and I'm working helping children write letters and then accepting Letters to Santa at our office. The letters are published in our paper and a local letter carrier provides a return letter from Santa to each child. I hope to get a chance, at some point, to ride the trolley around to the various businesses participating in the Christmas Walk.
Blackhawks hockey game at 8 p.m.
Sunday is church and lunch with DS #4 and then the start of wrapping the stocking stuffers for 10 stockings. Yes, I wrap the stocking stuffers for our 6 children and the 2 spouses and 2 significant others that are part of our family. We dropped giving gifts several years ago but the children wanted to keep the stocking tradition so we have. It is fun wrapping them...for about the first 4, then I wonder...what was I thinking...then seeing them open each thing and the look on their faces makes it all worth it. Yeah, mushy, I know, but it makes my Christmas knowing they are all experiencing something that is intrinsically part of our family Christmas tradition.
