The Old Folks Home

Okay, not a current picture but here am I bundled up and trying hard not to break a hip on ski's

We were out doing some cross country skiing after a snow storm mainly in the pastures behind the house which you can see in the background.

I'm already jinxed.

I just went out to check water and make sure everyone was comfortable. The 'heated' bowl has a 5 cm 'open' area in the center but the ice around the outer edge is over a half an inch deep.

It's going back our next trip to the 'big city'. Probably 2 weeks.

SGC, trust me, that little one is leaving paw prints on your heart already. I look at our cattle dog, slowly succumbing to Degenerative Myelopathy and wish with all my heart that he was a young dog again tearing the H out of the old sofa we had stored in the garage. We came home from work to check on him and the yard was filled with chunks of foam. The sofa was down to metal frame and the 2 girl dogs were looking at it longingly as they used to sleep on it during the day when we were at the office. Dingo was well pleased with himself and wearing a sloppy grin.

Puppies are like children with fur. They grow up very fast but walk on this earth such a short time. Enjoy every minute of puppyhood that you have with your little girl.

She does have puppy breath but I'm not that enamored with it.

She also has a ... dog odor... that I'm trying to get used to. My house now smells like dog when I walk in.

I also caved today and let her in my car.

I fear my life will never smell or look the same.
There is a dry shampoo that works great and doggy cologne. Better than washing all the time!

hate the dry bathing or cologne dog odor is better went to local toyota dealer he didn't care for me told him came to look sadly he said the vw is not making passat in wagons anymore next few days we will go to Olympia look at a few kia's also before we decide anything

777 posts behind.... I am only posting on the pond these days.... Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas...

But I just got my last preop test appointments approved. so I am good to go unless something pops up in the tests.

No more waiting.

I will get back onboard once all the dust settles after surgery.
