Very fast! How many workers? We are always slow slaughterers in this family. Don't know why.

It was 5 hogs raised total. One was ours. They did 3 last weekend and 2 this weekend. 2 were hanging when we got there had been killed gutted and skinned. Bf and I worked on our hog pretty much exclusively had a bit of help with the bone sawing to keep it from swinging. There were 6 of us total but 2 left for most of the day.

It was frigid. Subzero outside and the garage was absolutely freezing. The legs on the hog were frozen. I was fine except my feet. So cold.

Got 4 crock pots of the fat going to make suet. We do our best to use everything.

No but in some people gluten causes extreme fatigue. She is one of those people.

yep... in this house if the food is gone it was good.

With 5 growing boys, I bet it is gone even when it is only so-so!
