The Old Folks Home

Deb, you remind me so much of myself. I kept my baby's saddle and bridle in my bedroom when I was a single gal. Kept it soaped, oiled and shining. Bit always warmed before going in my App's mouth. Rode western much to my dad's dismay. He always said, only cowboys ride western. Real horsemen and women ride English. I'd just grin at him, plop my Western hat on my head, sling my leg over the saddle and tell him that real cowgirls rode western before cantering off. He would just shake his head at me and yell after me to keep my back straight and heels down. Dad understood me.

I love the bling bridle.

Told DH yesterday that I had four boxes of GS cookies coming in 10 days. He asked me why so long, LOL.

Being lazy today. Taking it easy. Need to head out and work on the rooster pen since they are calling for rain....at least move it up to the barn so I can work on it without getting wet.

I have some.... i may give it a try. The deal is they prefer not to have any oil when it comes time for treatment... so I will have to use it before I take my shower.
Um, what good will it do if you put it on then wash it off immediately? I figure you put it on after the radiation treatment. I think you should do a pseudo scientific experiment and designate specific areas of irradiated skin to different products, see which works best. That would be right up your alley :D

Misty I hear ya. I bought 4 boxes of gs cookies at Sam's and I ate 3!
I put on 3 lbs!
That just ain't fair! Even the heaviest boxes weigh just over 1/2 pound.

love the bling Deb '
haven't had any GS cookies in at least 20 yrs, too far back in the woods, they can't find us I guess
We had one little home schooled Daisy come by 3 years ago, none since. I got my 5 boxes at Town Meeting yesterday. They are up to $5/box. They were $3 to $3.50 the 13 years my girls sold (last in 2013). They were easy to get then ;) though going door to door in the foul January weather wasn't much fun. And trying to get them delivered in March was actually worse, folks aren't home when you go by.

Our new little cheapest washer is a Roper, think it was $220. I didn't know it till we got it out of the box, has a sticker on it , designed, engineered, and assembled in USA. Don't see that much anymore.

Parents don't have time to take the kids door to door and don't feel safe.
I don't blame them.
I paid 4.00 a box at Sam's.

My Apple cuttings are still alive and continue to sprouted new leaves. I moved them outside on the porch and they are still being knawed on.
I have to keep adding grafting tape to the openings in the bark. Poor things.

I sure hope they root.

Did you use rooting hormone?

Got my backside up off the sofa and went out. Got some fence work done on the bantam bachelor run and a roost board up in the main coop. DH came out and dragged the Chicken Tractor project up under the back porch overhang so I have a chance to work on it tomorrow if the spirit moves me. I don't much like babying my back right now but it's better than being in pain I guess so I'll baby away.

Yep, no oils during radiation. Think hot skillet with oil on it.....Ouch. Anything water based should work though.
