I picked out a rug on Overstock 70% off yesterday and some curtains for the dining room this morning.

There was a rule here that new schools had to go year round for a certain number of years after it was built. After that, there was a vote of the parents to decide to go year round or go back to traditional.

Every time there was a vote the parents opted for traditional. No more year round schools here...not because of teachers but because of parents. teachers get the same time off in a year round schedule it is just not all at once. Most teachers kind of like that

I'm sure it makes it easier to plan stuff, vacations, trips etc.
First time we informed the school we were taking the kids out for a week in May and wanted their homework packets ahead of time, the superintendent called us up and threw a fit, was a real d!ck about it. I have to pick my vacations in Jan for the yr, and can only get certain weeks that are available based on seniority picking first, only so many allowed off per week depending on department. Summer, weeks with a holiday (cause they get a free extra day to use later) and weeks kids are off from school are taken first.
I can't plan my vacations around school. He didn't care, threw a fit told us we couldn't take them out, bully. 'Common Core' testing was that week, (we didn't know) said our kids grades would be affected and would have to be placed in special ed...(straight A students in special ed lol) ticked me off, I informed him that the Common Core testing had absolutely nothing to do with their grades, and you know it.
He admitted that it doesn't, and said our kids average high on the tests, if we take our kids out it would drop the schools score, "You'll make the school look bad, the kids look bad, and me look bad!!"
Sorry bub, already have everything paid for and reserved months ago.
Bet we would have never got a call if they were below avg students.

Here is my dishwasher. It is soooo nifty.

Instead of the usual 2 racks, this has a 3rd. rack. It's not very tall, and it's designed for silverware, and smaller items, including little tupperware lids, cooking utensils, etc. I really like this feature.

This is the top rack. The rack height is adjustable, and some of the tines fold down, so it's convenient.

The 3rd. rack, and this top rack are removable, in case you have something extra tall, like a restaurant sized big stock pot, to wash. Because the spray arms are removed when you take out the rack, there is a small sprayer gizmo that attaches to the upper side, to direct the water.

This is the bottom rack. It too, is fully adjustable. The silverware holder comes in two pieces that can be connected, to use as one, OR it can be separated giving the option to use each side separately, or just use one side, OR because of the 3rd. rack, the silverware holder really isn't necessary, so it's removable to give more room.

This is what the controls look like. There is a countdown timer, and quite a few settings. The controls lock, so the grandkids' curious fingers can't reset anything. It's so quiet, there is a little red led light that shines on the floor when it's running, and when the light goes out, you know it's finished.

Our new dishwasher is similar. The place to load the soap and rinse looks just like yours. The cycles and controls are a bit different though. It is very quite and cleans very nicely

Yes! Some families had kids in different schools and on different tracks. It was a mess!

Ya think Beer? Heck if your kids were expected to do poorly on the CC tests, he probably would have helped you pack for the trip! Maybe even encourage you to move your vacation if it didn't align with the CC test week.

Yep, looks just like ours. We don't even uses the flatware baskets, they sit on a shelf somewhere. More room for plates and bowls on the bottom that way. At first the kids thought having the flatware on the top shelf would make putting it away harder since you can't carry it over to the drawer. Seems to not be a problem and we load it with like pieces (spoons, forks, knives) grouped together so it is easy to collect all of one kind and stick it in the proper place in the plastic flatware thing in the cabinet drawer. Plus, you don't need to worry about spoons and forks "nesting" and not getting clean. We do fold one row on the middle rack, the very round and deep bowls DW likes for cereal fit well then.

Unless Bosch changed something, the time display only shows how long the selected cycle is expected to take. Once you press Start, it goes black. And be careful, the door on ours doesn't lock, check the red light on the floor before opening it unless you are sure it is done with the wash and rinse cycles.

I will be interested to know if you have the same problem we do with "bits of clean but dried on stuff", especially on and in the glasses, if you use the auto cycles. I need to run ours today, it will be second time using "Normal". It did seem like there was less dried on "bits" the first time but we've been rising off the plates before putting them in so it is possible there was just less stuff to get stuck on.
