The Old Folks Home

You have cleaning fairies? I keep telling DH I gave the Amish maid the day off. He has observed that she has about 7 days a week off. Maybe I could trade the Amish maid for cleaning fairies.

We have a cat like that SGC. She is a little psycho calico that showed up at our doorstep one morning. She was more feral than tame and over a course of a year attacked DH two or three times and me once. We talked to the vet about her and he shrugged and said 'she's a calico. Never took care of a sane one. IMHO it's something in their genetic make up and they are all a little off.' We seldom saw her. She would hide in the basement until we retired and moved. We had to live trap her to get her in a cage. We knew if we tried to put her in a carrier she would rip us apart. Got her to the farm, turned her loose in the house and suddenly our psychopathic calico wasn't so crazy any longer. In fact, she is a very sweet little cat who cuddles and sleeps with us now. Every now and again she will get this 'look' in her eyes though, jump up and run like Satan himself was hot on her tail and hide for a day or two then snap back to what passes for normal for her.

If not crazy then definitely a candidate for kitty Haldol, 5mg IM....just when she gets that look.....

Still waiting for a pip....any little old pip...

Microchick I would run for the hills if a cat like that came near me. Dogs I can understand even mean ones (wouldn't hug those). But cats I believe ,come from another planet.

I like that - NOT!!! Shows up at your doorstep and still treats you like - - - - - - -??????

Yeah, are we masochists or are we masochists. She gave me cat scratch fever and a bone infection but yeah, rater fond of the little nut ball.

We have four wonderful cats and then Camo.......Part of the intrigue with cats is that they are always walking on the edge of being wild. Dog's have owners, cats have servants and we are very well trained servants.

Going to check my eggs for no pips and go to bed. Night all.

Well the Red winged blackbird is back this month but, was not in the company of robins, as usually happens. I hope the Robins aren't socked in somewhere. I miss them
I had a dead Robin in my garden the other day. I buried it. When i was lost in Lynchburg i saw a lot of robins eating berries. What has berries this time of year?
