The Old Folks Home

She's cute Alaskan, and has nice legs. Do you just breed her then to keep her in milk?
I think they do that with cows.

yep... just to get her back in milk

Breeding is done once a year.... though I have heard of somne goats going two years in milk.... I am NO expert though.

The one we are milking right now was bred last year, and is still producing enough that I decided not to breed her this year.

In the er waiting to be seen.

Dehydration? :hugs

That you had finished with the goat and goat breeding guess I read wrong other day
fields mountain farm just sold off her herd. :hu

I do keep considering at least down sizing... biggest boy keeps threatening to leave for good, 2nd kid is going to be gone all summer.... :hu I am thinking to maybe sell one doe and then keep just 2.

I only have 3 does... one is right now in milk, Feta. Mocha was in milk before, but didn't get pregnant last year (I took her to be bred, but it didn't take), so has been dry a year. Mozzie is a first timer and is due in a few weeks.

Having only Feta in milk has been about right for us production wise. Dunno... we shall see.

I brought a spare pair of pants diva.
proof of your brilliance. ... just sayin'!

I am not so smart... I once ended up having to go home with those hospital scrub pants... comfy actually. ... but I bet they charged me a thousand bucks for them. :old
