Tickles and Min can sympathize - they made a trip to the vet yesterday for the same reason. Cats don't usually get "the cone of shame;" so far, they've been a bit subdued, but otherwise doing well.

Apparently Americans think that pigs in a blanket involve some kind of hot dog in bread thing. Apparently my immigrant family brought "pigs in a blanket" over and we never converted. Clearly the ground meat and spices wrapped in a cabbage and covered in a tomato sauce is far superior to hot dogs.

I haven't felt like this in a long time - the last time I recall was using a word in elementary school to describe something that was apparently not an English word. I HAD NO IDEA.

Likewise... I had no idea cabbage rolls were referred to as pigs in a blanket. Is the meat filling pig? or beef? maybe a mix? The recipe you posted picture looked quite appetizing. I hope you get the meal you are anticipating and not something else...

Reminds me, I had Angels on horseback once yrs ago...

I fell off a horses back once and nearly broke my neck but saw some really pretty angels. Haven't looked forward to seeing angels again since then.

When I was 12 I was ejected out of a pickup on the freeway. I saw old men in white robes that asked what had happened...I said there was smoke from burning tires. I do not think they really understood though. Likely died before cars were invented.

Their advice was to get out if there was a fire...I woke up on the Shoulder of I-5! I had a concussion that was not diagnosed and my Brother was unconscious and took a ride to the hospital for stitches.

I was sore for weeks after that tumble on the freeway!

But I do not want to see those un helpful old men any time soon either...And when I do I will have a serious discussion with them!

Guineas are interesting creatures. I'd rather tell you to get them than goats.

I would choose goats over guineas if i had to choose. But eventually i will have both.

Interesting but loud. BTW, I recall you posted many times about frustrations with guineas!

I think the word Guinea in Africa must mean noisy stupid bird. But the babies are SO cute!
