The Old Folks Home

Went to a dinner party on Saturday and somebody passed around a virus. I had a three-day incubation period (congestion that just got worse) and now DH, three days from my onset, is complaining of a scratchy throat.
I finished all my interior work on the Santa Fe house on Monday. Probably pushing myself didn't help my health any, but I'm glad it's done.
Not all whining, though. A high point was my first hatch of 4 Marans from my own flock. Stew the Roo is a daddy! (Love the little mukluks) Better yet, they're sold and going to a new home on Sunday. (So I guess I am a purveyor or chick pimp now...)

This isn't a quid pro quo
I suspect that if you got something back for everything you gave out, you would need a freight car for storage out back.

We still have 5 gallon bags of black berries and the plans are loaded and almost ready to pick again.
And we don't even have leaves on our berry bushes (or any other) yet. Do have crocus and daffodils coming up, crocus flowers are open.

old folks have a harder time shaking off the effects of anesthesia than younger people.
Except DD2. That girl comes out of anesthesia HARD. DW had to hold her down after one of her earlier operations on her ears.

I just realized, Now she owns me, she'll never have to pay for mechanical work or tire changes for as long as I live... I was worried about how much they spent, they didn't spend, they 'invested'... :lau
You've been played Beer! CHECKMATE! ;)
