Yes! I asked about that and they said yest to anti biotics before and after surgery.
 
@ronott1. Any chance that she had a catheter or was catheterized? That is usually the fast track to a UTI. What they will probably do is a culture and sensitivity and see if the antibiotic she is on will cover it.

Not unheard of after surgery, especially in older people.

It's a little cool here today but the sun is out bright and I just came in from mowing lawn and am taking a break before going back out. I still have pumpkins and more squash to plant and take the left overs down to the neighbors for their garden.

My broody is on lockdown so looking for her to hatch babies soon. I offered her water this morning. She stuck her beak tip into it and immediately went back to staring at the wall without drinking. I just peeked at her and she is still in the same position. Hope she gets her three babies. She has sure been a dedicated broody.

I think it was the catheter too. I am waiting for the afternoon update to see how it is going.
