Wow looks delicious
Love it hubby would be droolingNope. My tire/repair place is run by BF's uncle and they're closed on weekends. I am going to take BFs truck to work tomorrow and then Sunday drop the car with a nasty note in the drop box and hitch a ride to work with BF.
On the plus side, even though my eyes are going to fall out of my head, I finished the top today.

I agree my hubby rides so yup it would make a nice gift,to all riders hint Father's Day@superchemicalgirl, that quilt top turned out gorgeous! In all seriousness, there are Harley riders out there that would pay big dollars for one of those quilts or even a sofa throw. You need some good Karma, girl!
That's what I first thought when I read your post, @ronott1. Sure hope they it under control. Nothing fun at all about a UTI especially right after surgery.
Maybe the feed here is deficient in something? Or the locals have had less-than-dark-laying stock? I know when the feed stores stock Marans it's of the Cuckoo variety, so perhaps they have gotten washed out shell color. Clients have definitely wanted to see eggshells before committing. The egg shell color has to do with up to 11 genes for the coat color. I can't think of a way that altitude would change that. As long as the genes are correct and the food provides the pigment, The eggs will be just as dark
Thank you, chickadoodles! And they have great personalities, too. Love my roo! If I open the coop and he's inside, he just goes to the far corner and sits down. Wonky but wonderful. The hens are all over me and Stew keeps a respectful distance. DH has even commented on how friendly this flock is compared to the last batch.... I suspect because I didn't let DH do his Godzilla impression on these chicks.Peep your birds are beautiful.
Harley would sue my butt if I sold them.
I'm probably about 40 hours in this project so far.
