The Old Folks Home

Have you got an impact driver yet? I adore mine!
DH has all of those pneumatic toys in his shop. I haven't worked up the courage to try them. Another of my favorite toys is the variable speed drill. Kinda funny to go shopping and me saying. I need drill bits! instead of something like new clothes, shoes or beauty products.

Morning all! I woke up feeling as though I'd been hit by a truck again. Too much activity yesterday and probably facing another hectic day as I try to get the plants in the ground. I did get my elephant ears bulbs planted. Kinda wondering about a few of them as I discovered ants had been working on them, nasty little things. Today I'm working on a new bed for flowers with the goal of getting my cannas in the ground.

@getaclue that blows right past scary and into the TERRIFYING category. Read the post to DH and said maybe it was a good idea if we walked our timber trails and made sure nobody was setting up tents back there. Not likely to happen as the only access that is easy is through our drive and pasture which is mostly in plain view of the house. But in today's world you just never know.

All right. I need to borrow some engineering acumen and construction skill for something not in my repertoire.
I have two decorative wrought iron gate tops, lots of scrolls and curlycues, that I plan to paint black and hang on the wall, one as a headboard and another over a sofa. The wall is plaster/stucco over cinderblock. I'm thinking of using L-shaped hooks to hang them on, but I have no idea what to use to sink it into the wall and make it stay there. Is there a special drill bit or secret tool?

I suppose I could go to Home Depot and plead ignorance, but I'd rather pick brains here.
TIA!
