The Old Folks Home

I did find out that there isn't a norovirus going around so that means I picked up something from the rooster bites. Little freaking demon. DH is ready to cleave his head from his body. I said, no, that was too bloody. I'm just going to dose the flock with Tera vet which is one of the antibiotics for Salmonella which I have on hand, that and carry my big stick when I go in to the coop. I hate carrying a rooster whopper for just one bird. The rest of my boys are such sweethearts but Very many more spells like this one and eventually I'm going to be visiting an ER for IVs. So better them than me.

Microchick - maybe there is a kinder, gentler way to dispose of your peckish roo.

Broomstick works well

Just got home from the scans. I have to say, the machines they used were from back when they first invented the technology. Groaning, clanking, screeching, whining. Good grief! It's part of the reason the contrast took so long. The newer contrast, with the newer machines cuts the wait time down drastically.

Remember I said they had to stab me a couple times to get the IV thingy in? Well, when I went back, the CT tech didn't like the way it had been put in. She let me know I have plenty of veins for them to tap. I told her I didn't have any she could tap. I know it was working, because she flushed it, and I tasted the saline. UGH! Well yeah, it was working, but she would rather put a new one in. I told her she could use that one, or not, but she was not sticking me again. She let me know they couldn't do the procedure without the IV thingy. I told her I knew that, but it was working, and that's all she needed. I was not about let her stick me again.

Did it work?

Apple trees can get a Borer moth. https://extension2.missouri.edu/g7190

The nematodes work on soil based pests. The article above has control methods for borers. I bet your trees have one of the different types

Thank you so much Ron I will read the article. I really don't want to lose these apple trees.
