The Old Folks Home

Thanks everybody. Like I said, I did this project for fun. In fact I'm reminded that I need to do some touch up painting on it this year and take a finished pick since I can't find the original.

It really isn't hard to do. I worked out the final sketch of what I wanted and DH scanned it into the computer, then measured the little shed and worked the scanned sketch to scale. From then on, all he had to do was print it to scale. We put it together like a jigsaw puzzle, and cut out the major sections. After measuring the shed, we located the pieces where we wanted them, I went to work with a carpenter's pencil, outlined everything I could then went to work. The paint I used is custom mixed at Home Depot. You can get 1 pint containers of paint there. They call it sample paint, but I had them custom mix the colors for me. From then on I just had to paint paint paint and paint some more.

I'd love to do a mural on the roof of our barn. Maybe just the farm name visible from the air and from the road.

We just had the life flight helicopter roar over along with sirens nearby. We NEVER hear sirens here. In fact we have only seen the sheriff dept go by on patrol once in 10 years. So somebody is either dead, badly injured or had a medical crisis. We didn't hear the copter come back this way as Kirksville has the only regional trauma center unless they flew to Columbia. Whatever happened I told DH that somebody's life was changed forever.

I have done few murals... love love love yours. You can use regular acrylic house paint samples as the base and mix in Regular Acrylic paints to tweak the color as you go.

Live the pics of momma with her chicks and bodies Micro!

Bruce the top openers on all three compartments of the coop. And it can be cleaned from above and moved around the yard.

Y'alls gardens are way ahead of mine. Lol mine is just sprouting.
The rain washed my seeds off to no where land. I have got to re seed.

Went to T-town yesterday looking for a new bed in anticipation of dh's surgery. He went ne able to climb in and out of the waterbed any more. Since it's Memorial weekend I told DH we need to shop the huge sales. First stop was Ashley's we tried out many beds and bought one. We could not believe the price on the temperpedic beds. We finally asked the sales man to write down the prices and that we were going to go home and think about it. But we were going to go look over other stores.
The salesman talked to his manager to try to save the sale.
He made a better price and knocked off 2000. Off the price and let us get it with no money down. Dh took the offer and it will be delivered June 9th.
It's got the base that's adjustable in e ery position. Which will help me move him to change his dressing and get him into different positions as he needs.
Dh said he never though he would spend that kind of money on a bed.
In fairness I did try to get him to go look at other stores and get a better price or deals.
But I also never thought a bed would cost 6100. Geesh!

five more days to go.....:wee

They agreed they had never seen one do that, and it was probably defective from the factory, and finally messed up, HOWEVER belts are only warrantied for a year.
Defective from the factory but lasted 6 months longer than the 1 year warranty???
I would think a factory defect would blow a lot earlier. Still, sorry it happened and the tractor is on the disabled list for another week. It is going to have a lot of tall grass to cut when it gets back to work.

Oh, almost forgot. When I had chemo this last time, for whatever reason, I didn't like the artificial taste of Kraft, or Velveeta cheese. I changed to a real cheese. I decided to bake a ham for supper tonight. Dh informed me he wanted me to make the box of Kraft mac & cheese, so he could have REAL mac & cheese for a change. Seriously?
:thSince when is chemically processed, good for at least 2 years in the package "cheese food product" REAL cheese?? Poor DH is delusional.

It's got the base that's adjustable in every position. Which will help me move him to change his dressing and get him into different positions as he needs.
Yeah lots of money but having a bed that adjusts will be so useful and make his bed stay tolerable.

Yay @perchie! This time next week you can look back at the radiation therapy and say "GOODBYE!"
