Just pulled 7 ticks off the dog. She hates that.

Got almost everything done for the cemetery work starting Monday. Need to de-fur the house on account that the conservator is staying here with us and we have approximately 6 billion animals in the house, based solely on the amount of fur I'm seeing around.

Is the conservator allergic to fur?

scg, from the looks of things, the dog is hiding it for later. I had a female chow chow that would do that. It was funny, because our black & tan hound had a great nose. He would wait until she got all her Meaty Bones buried, and when she wasn't looking, he'd go dig them up, and eat them. She'd go later to dig them up, and couldn't find them. One day, she caught him. The fight was on. I went to break up the fight, but she had already backed him down, because he knew he did wrong. She was a riot after that. She would get her Meaty Bone in her mouth, and go in his face with it. She would walk around him with her bone in her mouth, rubbing her Meaty Bone on him, just daring him to make a move for it. Then she'd go bury it, and watch. He never took her bones after that.

Well gosh darn. Our A/C went out this morning. Having someone come to look at it. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. The kids are all staying cool in the pool. Dh is trying to sleep, so he can work tonight. It has rained every day for over 2 weeks. Now that I need it to rain to cool things off, there's not a cloud in sight. Murphy's law strikes again!

In our home fur is a fashion statement as well as a condiment. I can dust mop up a wad of hair big enough to make another cat and by the end of the day there are dust bunnies running for their lives all over the house. I keep threatening to shave all the animals bald and be done with it.

I'm hoping the rain that moved through will give us one more cloud burst. We got 2.9 inches here this morning. I set my stock tank up to catch rain water for me, went out to check it and discovered that the drain faucet was in the open position. I had forgotten to check it last night.So while everything is filled to overflowing my stock tank had about 4 inches of water in it.

Come on, mother nature, give me one more inch of rain!

We just now got the radio antenna back up and in place. Only took 45 minutes of swearing and sweating to get the job done. Now I'm hoping it works. One of the members of our HAM radio club lost two expensive radios to a lightening strike. He said he had his antennas unplugged which you are supposed to do but we are wondering if he had them on surge protectors. Sad. Those radios are not cheap. People pay anywhere from 800$ up for them. We are cheap and build our own. More fun that way.
