No apologies necessary Chicka... Nothing that you said or didn't say. When I read the initial post I "went off" against the postal carrier... (still not pleased at all about her actions and the results caused by them) When you explained the reason for the postal carrier's actions, let's just say my anger was re-directed... Best kept to myself. :hugs

Hope you get to feeling better very soon! Only bad part about going to urgent care/Dr. is that you end up exposing yourself to all kinds of additional germs and nastiness. :(

I am quilting it with glow in the dark thread. I think I'm going to do an allover design and try to work some bugs in... but I wanted to do some show off quilting on a few of the lighter colored jars for the glow in the dark (it'll be too hard of a quilt if I do all the jars, plus would distract from the eye spy).

SCG your quilts have a Escher-ish quality to them that I love! Beautiful as always.

I'm in a I wish the wold would turn into a pus filled ball and explode mood myself tonight. My alpha rooster Welsummer/Buff O cross has always been a massive bird. Close to 10 pounds, robust, three inch spurs, very sweet natured guy that the hens all loved. Noticed lately he looked thinner. Picked him up and got gloomy real fast. He felt like he weighs closer to 3 than ten pounds. Feathers been hiding how thin he really was. Noticed the last few days that he has been just gobbling food and tonight I watched him eat. He was breaking up pelleted food into tiny bites and carefully swallowing it. You could see him really working each bite around in his mouth before swallowing. I caught him got his mouth open and yep, tumor where his tongue junctures into the throat and going forward under his tongue. Big enough that it is displacing his tongue to the left. Poor baby, He's only 2.5 years old. Sweet and gentle rooster. Always friendly towards me and the hens loved him.

How I feel towards Marek's disease cannot be printed. DH, sympathizing with me said. Your hobby sux. To which I replied. No, my hobby is great. Marek's sux.

Okay, vent over. On a brighter note, my latest broody has 5 fertile eggs under her. Yay!

Everyone needs a "happy place/thing" that they can go to when needed to decompress/refresh/stabilize themselves. Mine used to be mowing the lawn and yard work. I could put everything else aside and the mower noise and vibration would lull me into a cocoon of "self" where I can reflect/relax/de-stress/let go. I'm glad that many here have that "out" for themselves, whatever it may be... quilting, wire work, their poultry, hatching, cooking, whatever. Sanity is a precious thing to try and maintain!
