@Latestarter you should see some of the neat stuff DH prints with his 3D printer. He really has a ball with it. Currently printing a new RC airplane for himself.

The brooder also has a lift top on it. The section of the roof that looks solid is hinged and lifts up for top access. I'm planning to add a way to partition it off so I can keep new hatchlings segregated under the heat lamps and also add sliding Plexiglas panels to control heat loss. This is my dream brooder that I've thought about doing for 2 years. With my hands heading south I figured it was time to do it or it wasn't going to get done.

Yep, when I designed it I dove in trying to hit all contingencies for access and for versatility.

Well i am all upset. One of my Tolbunt Polish pullets is missing. I started looking before dark and found 2 of them. They were all dust bathing near the hoop coop just a few hours ago. The only time i left was to go to PT. I looked high and low, much further than they normally range.
