The Old Folks Home

Belts are easy to find and cleaning up those kind of machines are also pretty easy. I've done two .basically you take off each plate protector and use a ton of oil (I used gun and sewing machine oil) to lube everything up .used the gun cleaning cloths and qtips .If something is really rusty use wd40 first then the oil .I also used wooden kabob skewers to get in small areas to scrape crud.
Works great now .

Exactly tip machine up so bottom is showing oil all over it anything that moves
looking for the serial number will tell us when and by who it is made I used large end of the skewer and the small point had to dig hard grease from one machine that was given to me because it wouldn't run and been deemed dead wd40 was applied all over three times

so that once the snow/ice pack starts on the steps we can still get the door all the way open
Now where is the fun in that?? When we bought this house I discovered the first winter that the deck behind the back door was higher away from the door than close to it. Yep same problem in the winter.

Exac...

Oh look, a chicken.
No it is a bunny!

Just got back from buying a very old sewing machine and cabinet. The lady bought it at an antique store in 1978. (Same year we got married).

Erp.......1978......very old? C'mon guys, I was 25 years old in 1978.
I believe she said the lady she bought it from got it at an antique place in 1978. That machine is clearly WAY older than '78.

The machine might work, but it is missing the belt. I would like to get it tuned up.
Sorry but Dave only picks up machines locally. You'll have to find a sewing machine repair place there that likes to work on old ones.

Best thing to come out of the insurance kerfluffal.... is the change to not disallow for preexisting conditions.
Keep your eyes open if you need to get insurance. There is a move afoot to continue gutting the ACA. They want to change the "pre-existing condition" part. Yes you will be able to get insurance if you have a pre-existing condition .... but they don't have to cover anything related to that condition.

"Headless chicken monster"
VERY cool!

I saw and met the famous "Morris the Cat," and got his pawtograph . Now and then we got calls for Cocker Spaniel models. Once they used 2 of mine on a Purina Calendar, and the next time used the male alone.

"They" thought I was one of agents and started talking money to me, found out how much they pay for the first dog and what you get for the second. Three digits of $$$.
The guy that brought us gave only $ 20. bucks. Had the dogs out in 90 degree weather shooting 100's of photos. Finally I suggested something and they used my idea and got the good shot. But I didn't let the dogs go out after that. Was so glad I went with. I would suggest that to anyone having dogs used. Otherwise they are treated like props .

One of mine(the moocher) was for a "BONZ" ad, when they weren't watching, she was eating the product that was glued to their poster:laus.

Also met "Scrubby" the clown when my sister got us tickets for the "Scrub Club."

Across the street from school was the famous "Two Ton Baker" he was too!! He used to sing "Has anyone here seen Bubbles." That was a big hand puppet.

Last but not least my sister snuck off to see "Uncle Johnny Coons," another kid show guy ,and never told me. Still mad about that.
