The Old Folks Home

I saw and met the famous "Morris the Cat," and got his pawtograph . Now and then we got calls for Cocker Spaniel models. Once they used 2 of mine on a Purina Calendar, and the next time used the male alone.

"They" thought I was one of agents and started talking money to me, found out how much they pay for the first dog and what you get for the second. Three digits of $$$.
The guy that brought us gave only $ 20. bucks. Had the dogs out in 90 degree weather shooting 100's of photos. Finally I suggested something and they used my idea and got the good shot. But I didn't let the dogs go out after that. Was so glad I went with. I would suggest that to anyone having dogs used. Otherwise they are treated like props .

One of mine(the moocher) was for a "BONZ" ad, when they weren't watching, she was eating the product that was glued to their poster:laus.

Living in "Wilmywood," brushes (or near misses) with celebrity are nearly inevitable . . . shoot, an autograph collector could have gotten several when the weather guys were here with Florence. Several of my animals have been props in movies or TV shows; one even became a 'regular' on One Tree Hill. I was given the chance to accompany them on the days they were filming, but with two young kids, I simply couldn't find the time. Everybody came back to me safe and sound; my faith in the animal handler was justified.

Thanks. Having a hard time finding info on it, not a Singer and no numbers on it anywhere.

You could take it out of the cabinet and take it to a sewing machine repair shop for service and ask them what it is. They should know and probably have the belt for you.

Which critter was on one tree hill?

(Can't remember what show that is... sounds familiar)

This one - a waayy oversized Holland Lop doe named Cupcake. She was one of the sweetest rabbits I ever met; an absolute rag doll in your arms. When they told me a small boy was going to be carrying the rabbit around, I cringed a little, then said "I know just the one." Having had so many rabbits explode in a kicking frenzy when held, this gal's "friends we haven't met yet" attitude was delightful. I'll bet most of the cast members still remember her, all these years later.

Don't feel bad Penny, I went to sleep before 11 last night and slept until 9AM. DH said he almost woke me up but didn't have the heart. Bless him.

Got myself pulled together, ran into town and got back at 1. Working outside while the weather is nice. Indian Summer. I love it!

Pretty cool.

I hope she made lots of babies with the same disposition.
