The Old Folks Home

I have seen some huge ones at the yolo county fair.

I hope to get some more space for a Garden next year--I have a lot less chickens now so have some space
I have a lot less chickens too. ;) 0..count that as..0. Getting used to the idea of not having to go out there in the winter for them. Also thinking of a garden once again in the back.

Huh? Wait a minute. I lost something there. Thought she said she was working on the loft? Ok. I loft, yeah, got nailer. Timber. No go. I don't handle a chain saw too well.

A heritage of service...I salute them all @Cynthia12. My husband served in Korea during the Vietnam War, Brother served in Nam. Dad served 9 years prior to WW II. He was in the veterinary corps/exhibition equestrian team. Yep, back when they still rode horses in the Army. I have a pic of him on his horse that my brother has right now. Think Col. Potter on MASH. Dad used to do Roman jumping and was honor guard twice for Roosevelt's inauguration.

To those who served....thank you!

Channeling Al here this morning. I think I waited a bit too long to do the roosters.

The first one froze to the table. My can of Lysol wipes froze solid. The leg rope froze together after it got wet scalding the first one. Had to start a fire in the basement wood stove so that I could thaw things between roosters.

Two left to go, a showgirl and a silkie. I hate doing those. They're so cute.

Inside thawing myself, now.
