The Old Folks Home

I would love to live in Alaska.

We just got those white stripes painted on the sides of our roads. Going to have to keep moving farther north, we ain't rural enough now!

bf went hunting with his mom and nephew, leaving the niece and sister with me. Got them to do some chores, and one of the chores was to catch the disabled gimpy chicken, give it a bath, toenail clip and blow dry and see if the prosthetic leg would fit.

It didn't, but they did feel bad for the chicken and took it home to be able to handle it more and hand feed it.

Wahoo! That's 5 less birds today that I don't have to overwinter, plus now I won't have to worry about coming home to the little disabled, frozen, chicken.

Most excellent!

I have failed on the butchering front...

I have a bunch of animals that I shouldn't be feeding... and that should have fed me.

As to white stripes... I have seen those in parking lots. :lau

I brought a bird out thought it was laying little white egg nope nice sized brown
everywhere is getting so built up now they cleared blackberry from big spot of land other side of the road behind us they are trying sell half of it now :rant:barnie

I'll bring my best friend, she and I used to log in the woods with her Dad. Do you need us to bring the team and logging chains?
Maybe the chains, I don't think the team would appreciate the trip and I do have a 35 HP tractor to pull with. Wouldn't mind if a logging winch somehow found its way into my barn though ;)

Humans produce heat ya know. :lau
About 100W per. Of course assuming they are dressed they keep most of it to themselves.

If you have 25 in each room....:gig
2500 watts of naked people would warm up a small area.

You managed to pawn a gimpy chicken off on BF's family? You rock! Sorry that prosthetic didn't work out.

Not to worry, they get worn off pretty fast.

I did. I was going to cull it a couple months ago but his mom was horrified and said don't that she'd take it home. Well she didn't come get it, but today when she left to go hunting I had a plan. And I stuck to it.
It helped that his sister recently moved back in with them and brought with her a disabled polish bantam hen with a cross beak. It died 2 weeks ago.

Yes master manipulator over here
