The Old Folks Home

Was colder here than Alaska, lol. Doesn't bother the NN/Turkens. They still played outside.

because at least the Amish don't stuff your mailbox full of religious pamphlets and try to convert you to their religion.:barnie
It is illegal to put anything in the mailbox that didn't come through USPS. Turn them in to your postmaster. Not sure how you prove it was them though, they don't likely include a "if interested please stop by 123 East Street" note.

I did the Black Friday thing with my cousin yesterday. She drives me crazy. Her husband works, so she has a lot of time on her hands. Does a lot of window shopping, which is fine, since she has to walk, and the malls have air conditioning. She knows everything in each store by heart. You would think that on Black Friday, she would have a bit of an idea, or list about what she's wanting to get. NOPE! She's clueless. She wants to go to every store, and do like she always does, on the busiest day of the year. We walked an entire mall, from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm, and she bought 1 item. First off, she starts at Macy's, then hits every high end store in the mall, spending time looking at everything, but not spending money, all the while fussing because I'm not buying anything.

After a bit, I mentioned the nearby, really great outlet mall. She explained that to get into the outlet mall, we should have gone there first thing. By that time, it was too packed to get into. Yes, the outlet mall was going to extend their Black Friday prices for the rest of the weekend, so she was going there the next day by herself. When I asked why, she explained. Her daughter married well, and they have some money. Not rich type money, but pretty big money. Her daughter has turned into a huge snob. By going with me to the mall, if I'm ever asked, I have no knowledge of her getting any of their gifts at the outlets, instead of paying the higher prices at the regular mall. Her daughter will throw the gifts out, if she thinks they didn't come from the high end stores, or she won't let her see the grandkids for awhile to "punish" her for not shopping high end for them. She picked the busiest, most crowded day of the year, to waste my time, and energy for THAT.

I told her Dh was working, and I had to get the car home by 5:30 for him. I left, and stopped by the Salvation Army on the way home. It was 50% off everything. I got the kids a few nice play clothes, and got a few tops for me. I was happy. I will not be doing Black Friday with her next year, unless we go to the outlet mall, or stores that are more practical.

saw the doc today all is good... she is very happy I am moving forward with Gastric sleeve surgery...

She adjusted my BP meds... and scheduled my next appointment for six months.

Also when It comes time for the surgery she wants to do the screening. Which involves a stress test.

My Dad said that too! He worked worked for the post office years ago.

Luckily my mail delivery is a neighborhood box with locks and keys. Only the Postal worker and put mail into it
