The Old Folks Home

The ortho doctor ordered more xrays, but no mri. He prescribed steroids. And ordered PT. Of course, no one called in the steroids so i had to wait for the next day for those. And he refused to order pain pills. Never mind my blood pressure has been up for 2 weeks!
So i went to my Family Doctor, and he ordered me some pain pills. But he said if i need more, i will have to go to the pain clinic. And he ordered another BP med for me. But it still doesn't control the blood pressure enough for my liking and the pain pills are deadening the pain a bit, but not eliminating it. I am not sleeping well. Other than that, i feel great.:gig

Cap that's terrible. :hugs:hugs

First time in a long time the town Tsunami siren went off. (Well, besides the test run every wednesday)
IIRC, your house is well above Tsunami height, yes??

There is a saying with HAM operators that when the power and cell phones go down, HAM radios are still up and running.
As long as the batteries hold out! Or the gas for the generator ;)

I made him repeat twice "if there is a major event in Anchorage, where power goes out and bridges collapse I WILL CONTACT MY PARENTS"
Unless the cell towers are down, can't get mad at him then.

:lau If you are like me, Penny, sometimes you just FEEL like you were born in 1860. Sorry friend~blame the glitchy fingers~
Dw's grandfather was born in 1861.

Anyone have fun weekend plans?
Took the wood rack off the porch landing, refilled it and put it back. Have enough in the stack to do that once more, then it is on to the prefilled racks. THOUGH I don't know if that wood will have had enough time to "season".

Out to dinner later, 28th anniversary. Rain tomorrow so I guess I'll catch up on my receipt entries in Quicken.

Cap, sure hope SOMETHING good comes your way with regard to the pain!!!

My goodness you sound like me. My doc speculating that pain is causing my systolic b/p to be high. Diastolic pressure is good. In fact low so he doesn't want to give me a higher dose of medicine. He cut the dose in half the last time he saw me because I was having problems with orthostatic hypotension even though my b/p was lower...going too low when I bent over. I just laughed and told him, guess I feel better when I'm hypertensive.

Welcome to the crazy world of pain control. Hate you are experiencing it.

We are likely cutting our tree down today with bfs mom and the rest of that family. They've never cut one down before, always had artificial, whereas I have never not cut one down. They're looking forward to the experience. Hope I don't have to sing carols and act jolly.

Find some doom and gloom Christmas songs. That will cheer you up! ;)

I actually made sure that this here house:
Would never flood
Would never fall off of a cliff
Would never get hit by a tsunami
Had a great well
Was built good and solid

Happy Anniversary, Bruce!
Yes, i am hoping the steroids will get rid of the irritation to the nerve. I am not convinced that there isn't something wrong with my shoulder. How can they tell without the MRI?

The baby bunnies are opening their eyes!
