The Old Folks Home

For those who are curious, the answer was delish! :drool and very filling:

Large mushroom/onion cheese steak with extra everything (except meat/bread). It added an additional 160 miles total to the trip. Ate about 2pm and was home before dark to do animal chores right on time, if not a little early.

I may have mentioned in the past that driving doesn't bother me. I saw gas at $1.83/gal on the way there but missed it coming back and all the others in the $1.85 range had changed to $1.99 coming home. Ended up waiting till I got back to home town and stopped at wally world where it was $1.95/gal Missing it cost me ~$2.40

I dunno chickens called "Deathlayers," seems like a mighty big downer.
Yeah, when I first read the link I thought: Gee they're talking about my Buff Orpington and Welsummer flock!:lau

I was pleased to find out they weren't.

SGC, I'm sure you just have a few bugs to work out of the machine. It's still a stunningly beautiful quilt. I got part of my Joann order today. Found out they canceled one of the companion colors I'd chosen for my farm quilt. The main fabric is supposedly in the mail now. In the meantime I'm embroidering away on squares. Another pattern I'm working on is Celtic knots that I am embroidering. I have 5 done, the 6th in the hoop--enough squares to mad up to make either 2 lap quilts or a regular quilt. Haven't decided yet.

Snowed most of the day. Fingers didn't like it. Neither did I just for the record.

Glad to hear that DH is doing well, @chickadoodles. Don't let him get over confident and overdo it before he heals completely.

:yesss: Glad to hear you got the sandwich @Latestarter. Trust me, life is too short and someday something may take away your ability to enjoy a favorite food. Dinner tonight was potato and cheese casserole. I asked dh if he thought anything was missing and he said yeah, meat.:smackI knew he was kidding as he is always telling me we eat too much meat and my diet calls for 3-4 servings of meat a week and no more.

I'd go over the wall but tried that last night which is why my fingers are not user friendly today.:hit

I like it!
Here is one i am working on.

Love it! Who is it for?

I was asked to make a celtic quilt for someone, can you share what it looks like?

BTW Has anyone heard anything from MrsMistyReal lately? I was thinking about her yesterday.
Yeah, she called me around midnight the other day. Her hubby is having his final cancer treatment. He has a large growth on his chest as well as lung cancer. Not expected to last a year. We chatted quite a while. She is coping the best she can.

Penny, I still have Windows 7. I tried 10 for a bit, and I seriously don't like it. It's great for a phone, or tablet, but it's garbage as an operating system for an actual PC. Of course, they want to make everything app based now, which again is fine for a phone, or tablet, but sucks on a PC. We did discuss me doing a new build towards the end of this year.

I'm right now sort of envisioning a pack of BYC motorcyclists with black leather jackets and "Deathlayers" emblazened across the back....
Somehow I doubt the Hell's Angels will accept us as a proper motorcycle gang with chicken appliques on the back of our jackets.

No sex links here I know of guess my EE are than age now but have not lost any my poor little OE had really tough molt again this year
All my EE's have done hard moults. Worst of all the breeds I have.

Glad you enjoyed your PCS there LS.
