Happy New Year everybody!

I made it to 11:15. Told DH at 11 that it was officially New Years on the east coast and that was close enough for me. Slept till 8:30 but woke up feeling some better. Two weeks with this virus. I'm ready for it to BE GONE!

Otherwise a quiet NYE here. DH and I set and watched John Wayne movies all night.

Here is hoping that 2019 is filled with happiness, good health and prosperity for everyone here at BYC. May all of your flocks thrive and your eggs be double yolkers!

Hubby went to bed at 11:00. I was up later. But i didn't hear or see any fireworks. Bonus from living in the woods!

How very true. Princess and I were reminiscing - 57 New Years celebrated together. It was that first New Year's eve that I told her that I loved her -

Been banging on pans for years. Wasn't sure if we would, but we did. Made noise through all of the firecrackers..they are still going off here and there. Hubby turns on the car alarm..we kiss at the door, yell Happy New year, then off to bed. Hey..he.. he's the one that wanted to do these things again. It was fun..scared the dog though. Poor guy thought we had lost it for sure. Lost. For a few seconds. In our minds. Remembering. Oh boy..how fast time goes by.

It sounds like a nice evening at your place!

Some fire works were set of at about 9 or so. I was asleep at midnight and was not awakened by any fireworks

Yes, the holidays are always special here also. DH and I met two weeks before Christmas. I told him he was my very best Christmas gift ever. That was in 2005. We were married a year and a half later.
