Okay, I should keep my big mouth shut but I have to say this or my head is going to explode.

I know what @drumstickdiva is referring to. I personally heard a recording of a high school teacher back in either 07 or 08 say to her class that she would be glad when the senior population was all dead so the younger generation could do what they wanted with the country.

Please do not be condescending and tell me I was just listening to misinformation. I heard it with my own ears and so did my husband and it upset both of us tremendously.No educator should set such a low value on the lives of it's old people let alone instill that thinking upon the students in which they are hired to teach.

Diva I understand what you are saying and how you are feeling, but please please please remember that your life has value and purpose no matter how old you are. I hope we both live to be 100 if for no other reason than to irritate the 'younger' generation.

DD was feeling bad because she thought the government wanted to kill off seniors.

I am sorry if my post set you off. The point is that these bits of mis information are used as psychological propaganda used to pull at the emotions, which has happened and will happen.

This technique has been used for ever to mes up people. It is used by all sides and it makes me sad to see it cause such havoc with us!

Now I will do what I often do when stuff gets like this and unwatch this thread. I will jump back on eventually.

No way would I do that! But that one wingnut was not representing any part of a governing authority. And she isn't the only person who thinks that way. But you are right, she has no place teaching if she can't keep her personal opinions out of the classroom.
