The Old Folks Home

I discussed it with Dsqard and I needed the goat fabric. Sold by fabric.com

Going to likely use it as a backing to the Bigfoot quilt that's next for me. Goal is to get the big star quilt plus the 4 NICU tops I have quilted and bound this weekend (3 day weekend for me!) and start on Bigfoot next weekend.

Quilt is gorgeous,@CapricornFarm. I spent some time this afternoon laying out material and doing what I called some quilt cipherin' when DH asked me what I was up to. I have 5 squares embroidered with only ten more to do. The rest will be from a 'folk art' farm print I found at Joann's. It was exactly what I was looking for when I started working on embroidering folk art chicken appliques. The way I'm working I may have the top done by late summer.

Before that, DH and I hiked out to check ice damage on one of our radio antennas. It's a huge 1300 foot loop antenna. Our only casualty to the weather so far with 3 breaks from ice and wind. It got up to 35 degrees here today so some of the ice melted....in time for more snow on Friday....and Sunday....

Blasted lying no good ground hog.:rant

This is very well done! What surrounds it? You're going pretty quick on it!

Very impressive design, Cap. Anxious to see the finished product.

DH asked me today how much an Amish made quilt sold for and in looking it up I found this. It's called Light in the Valley.

I was frankly astounded by this design and the number of color combinations that I found.
