Was only a waitress till I graduated college as had to pay my own way

Ugh. I don’t mind it from waitresses, somehow, but I really hated it when my 20-year-old car saleswoman kept calling me hon. I wanted to love her for being a woman in this business, but yuck!

agree with that- also don't like being called dear or doll! I AM Nancy to people who know me. If they don't know me they should ask permission to speak to me at all.

Depends on their tone I guess at least to me to those that are are close I am warm, caring and smart women others may think I am not so nice
