Morning old folks late up here both of us was 10 dogs started barking like heck
neighbor that was stealing my eggs has this one pit nice enough dog but the dog walks up the chain link fence so as soon as the two here are out they run the fence line that dog runs them till their tongues hang out

Oh and the weird thing is even if I’m having a bad day or tired, don’t feel well, whatever, I’ll still do whatever for the dog (or cat or chickens, insert animal lol).

The animals always come first.

Even if I don’t feel like doing anything or don’t care about myself, I at least care about the animals and take care of them.

That’s another reason why I think I need a dog.

I think it would really help to have something other than myself to take care of and be responsible for and something to care about.

I have the chickens, cat, and fish but they’re not the same. They’re mostly pretty self sufficient and don’t need walks or training or much interaction.

They don’t force you to get out of bed in the morning or get up and go for a walk when you don’t feel like it.

Just baked two loaves of bread (Amish sweet white) and a bag of hamburger buns. Cleaned out one closet and half of another......that's it! It's the weekend!

That is why the last two months my coop had padlock on it did a bit of cleaning here also vacuumed dusted cheating on dinner having scrambled eggs with sausage, hashbrowns and crisp bacon think I have some hush puppies in the freezer I will thaw

@CapricornFarm, congratulations on the clean skin report! DH still has freezings done but he hasn't had to have anything excised for about a year now. That is a run for him!

That river walk looks nice. You still have a lot of green. We do too. Probably won't after the freeze last night but I always look forward to fall colors.

@penny1960, dinner sounds delicious. Hamburgers and French Fries here. DH gets lean ground beef. I got a meat grinder on Amazon and initiated it, grinding a chicken breast for my burger. I usually wind up out of ground turkey before I make it to the store so I bought the grinder. I didn't want one of those fancy schmancy electric jobbers. I wanted one like my mom had, you know, the ones that clamp down to your counter top and you grind it with a crank.
