The Old Folks Home

This was brunch today lol

All from my garden except the spinach and smoothie.

Egg just collected right before. :D

The pepper probably wasn’t quite ripe yet considering it was still half green but I wanted a pepper and picked it anyway. :lau

Also made a smoothie with water, collagen powder, a banana, some frozen berries, spinach, natural PB, and a little bit of cocoa powder.

Another nice egg from Little One. Scale couldn’t decide on a number. Finally decided on the higher one

You need to spray bleach on that mold and kill it. Then scrub it off.

I need to do that. We have mold on a lot of our windows/sills. Though not sure if it’s mold or dirt or algae or what. Maybe all 3.

Also tons of dust everywhere.

Both of those are probably contributing to me waking up stuffed every morning lately.

Can you see the falling leaf?

After @bruceha2000 posted fantastic foliage pictures, I decided to get serious and stopped on my way to MIL’s house at a known Vermont vista spot. The photos don’t do it justice, but it’s hard to take a bad one there!

I miss Vermont Life. So many gorgeous photographs. Once I picked up a copy and a boy I taught in kindergarten was on the front cover!

Gorgeous!! I gotta post some from my walk yesterday haha

OH my GOODNESS! That’s so impressive! Is your glucose normal! (Not counting forgetting to eat - that’s hard to imagine!)
My glucose was getting so low I was close to passing out. same with my Blood pressure. They couldnt get a reading at the clinic... The doc got a reading of 103/60 She immediately told me to cut everything in half.... The Cardiologist took me off all but a half dose of Motroporol....

ON the flip side I have been on Effexor for about a year and a half now... The new psychiatrist wants me to go from 150 mg to a more standard dose of 225 mg. Now that I dont have food or alcahol as my coping mechanism The Depression is really rearing its ugly head.

When you lose a lot of weight does it affect your blood sugar or health or whatever? Cause I’ve like 20, 30 pounds this year and recently I’ve sometimes been getting kind of weak/lightheaded in the shower and I never ever have before. Thought maybe it was blood sugar but maybe it’s something else. Idk. Only happened like 2 or 3 times though I think last month and hasn’t again so  but wondering if losing that much weight that fast could have thrown things off. Although it hasn’t really been a super fast loss and lots of up and down but still. A lot of it was fairly recently.

Only one med works for me. Outlived two doctors (both died of cancer but different kinds) Could only find a once a month doctor at the clinic I went to, he doubled the dose and then took off for new Mexico and never came back. Wonder if the law was looking for him.
So have no doctor to lower the dose for years now. A senior should not be on such a large dose their metabolism is too slow for it to clear efficiently. The pharmacist said the same thing. One of these days I will get brave enough to lower the dose myself - it's not a drug you can stop abruptly or change dosage easily.

But half the time I forget to take it and nothing bad has happened (knock on wood) so I think I will ease on down to a lower dose.

Morning everyone.

@CapricornFarm. Bunnies are adorable!

@perchie.girl, Pickled pigs feet. Man that brings back memories. My mom loved them. They were 'okay' for me but a nibble was enough sort of thing.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Stick with the treatment for depression and for goodness sake, remember to eat. I have no problem with that!

@drumstick diva, I jiggle my dosages on meds. I'm sure the doc would rather I let him do it but basically I look up meds on RXlist.com and find out what the dosages are, high and low and go from there. The way I figure it, I live with this body of mine 24/7 so I know it better than he does.

@penny1960 chick math at it's finest. Hope they do well for you.

More outside work on the agenda today. The weather is still nice here. No fall color at all...yet. Rumor is that it will peak in November here. Kinda late but this whole season has been weird.
