The Old Folks Home

I just upgraded to a bigger bowl, about 2 gallons I think so I need to set that up.
Male bettas may kill female bettas if they are not in breeding condition.

Nice! That’s a good size! I didn’t realize they made bowls that big ha

And thanks! I didn’t think of that. Definitely don’t want that happening!

Maybe I’ll just keep them by themselves then. I think it’ll be fine.

Well, it's not an actual fish bowl. It's like a round glass canister without a lid. Found it at Goodwill for $2. I put water in it this morning, so the water can warm up to room temperature. I need to wash gravel for it.

That is why I like Goodwill, you never know what you might find.

I wish we had one closer to us. The nearest one I think is like an hour. :hit

We do have a Salvation Army though which is pretty good sometimes and two Savers but they’re kind of a rip off lately haha but they have tons of glass things and stuff haha

Yeah that’s how ours is too, it’s in the city, so all the urban/hipster types take all the good stuff cause it’s cool or “vintage” or whatever. It’s supposed to be for people who actually need it ha

Sometimes prices are good, sometimes you can get new stuff for less. Shop and compare. Thing is , if you see something you want, they won't likely get another in just the same.

That’s a very good point!! Guess that’s why you gotta buy it when you see it haha

Buy a new one :lau

Nah just kidding. It hasn’t so far. :lau

Although I have been buying a lot lately.

But I’m stopping with these guys lol

Yeah, yeah, yeah, and DH and I said no more 'new' dogs after we lost Dingo and Lucy a month apart in Dec and January.

I also had a friend who said 'no more kids' after kid #3. Then a year and a half later kid #4 came along.

Face it, KDOGG, the common word is 'oops' and you just doomed yourself.:gig

2 degrees when we woke up this morning. It is just flippin cold outside. Bundled up, went out to check the chickens. They are fine. No worries. Just scratchin around the coop being chickens but happy for the slice of bread and generous scratch grains I scattered around to give them something to dig around for.

Got word yesterday that the friend who ordered my Fayoumis for me this spring lost all of his birds to a weasel attack. It makes me a bit paranoid and wanting to go out and make sure there are no easy 'ins' to the coop that haven't been dealt with already. Such a waste. He had some lovely birds.
