:lau You love your chickens!

When mine decide to fly it is quite the racket. Don't know why but they seem to need to squawk to get off the ground and stay up for a short distance.

Mine do the squawking too lol

Although not all of them. Usually one will fly or take off running, spook the others, then some of them will squawk and take off lol

Hey all old folks made shopping grocery all day event heck my 6 or 8 week old pullets with silky never had more than a 125 heat lamp it is now 25 watt bulb silkie not sleeping with high wattage light like that they have feather doing the bad chicken waddle now half the speckled will leave to my postmistress cohort

I used to have those smooth glass pebbles (Dollar tree etc.) and used them for worry stones. Well not so much. But a man I knew was having a hard time quitting smoking.
I told him to to rub the stone with his thumb. By golly he really gave up smoking.

Let’s face it, Chicken TV is better than cable.

I guess I do love my silly girls

Never smoke. Never wanted to. Both of my parents smoked. I hated the smell of cigarette butts and ash trays but I can still remember being under 5 and asking her what one tasted like. She had just lit one and handed it to me and told me to inhale deeply. I did and turned green then tried to hack up a lung. She had me take another inhale. That was enough for me. Couldn't make me smoke another one.

It was a good lesson.

My birds are funny about the snow also. The Fayoumi's didn't seem to be too fazed by it. One of the bantam barnyard crosses came out and let out a 'alarm' scream that I could hear clear back at the house. I think he turned around and ran back in through the pop door. They definitely don't like the snow.
