The Old Folks Home

Amazing what dogs sense in us Micro ah crud made it home did gift swap with older Son and his wife he is useless asked when his Dad would come get him so they could spend the day (not happening :rant ) oh well another year coming to end we have a really good life here :idunno

Remember Penny, you can pick your friends, you can even pick your enemies but you're stuck with family....which is why over 200 miles between me and mine and DH's is even farther.

Like you, we have a good life here. I love my family and inlaws but don't love the family drama associated with them all.

Dishwasher is loaded, and running. I've got another small load to run when this one finishes. I will vacuum the whole house tonight, and mop the kitchen. The one good thing about only letting the kids eat at the table in the kitchen, is that it confines their food messes to that area.

Did I mention that our tree finally arrived? I got it yesterday, and put it up. It is one of the easiest to assemble, large trees I've ever had. Remember, I chose the one with both LED, and fiber optic lights, but had not seen one in person. All I saw was a picture. Well, I made a good choice. I LOVE it. Some of the light patterns were too "busy", but there are a few that are tamed down too. All I need is some white bows, some silver ornaments, and a few shiny gold ones. I hope the few gold ones will pull in the gold from the chandeliers, and ceiling fans, and balance it in the room.

I was talking to my cousin last night, telling her about the tree, and she too got the kind I did, but in the 3 ft. model. She already bought the white bows, and silver ornaments for hers. Great minds think alike, I guess.

Good morning old folks! Painted this fox this morning for a friend of mine who lost her mom a few days ago. She loves foxes and I hope this gives her a little cheer. She was really close to her mom
I got a second letter from DD yesterday. She told me of a way I can send a letter for her to get it almost right away. I sent her one through the app but they charge more than regular postage to use the service so I am going to do most of my letter writing the old fashioned way. I sent her the Grinch painting and some shampoo and conditioner that she asked for. I have to get another small care package together of stuff she needs (bandaids and neosporin). Apparently they haven't been allowed to go to the shoppette yet. I am surprised they don't supply bandaids. I know when I was in basic we just had to ask for one and the drill sergeants would give us one.
Well I am off to do some shopping with a friend and then I have to come home to work on some pillowcases I need to make for the hospice residents.
